• BSc (Hons) Psychology

Studying at this undergraduate level helped me develop a fundamental understanding of the human brain and neuropathways. In addition, this degree furnished me with key approaches and concepts that I now apply in my area of work. It stimulated a strong desire to learn more about human behaviour and understand social norms and conformity. Whilst completing this course, my family experienced an event of great sorrow and sadness, which further induced a desire to help and support others struggling with mental health.

  • Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills

In order to understand how to support others with long and short term issues, I began to study hypnotherapy where I discovered the use of different techniques to access the unconscious mind. The use of deep relaxation has enabled my clients to obtain better control of how they feel, meet target goals, eliminate unwanted habits and achieve a calmer state of mind. When studying in this area I learnt about mindfulness and adult well-being.

  • Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Whilst studying I developed a strong cognitive attitude and behaviour skills, used to support others in different areas of their life. I learnt how to become inspirational and motivational for those who want to make changes in their life. After receiving my diploma, I opened my own practice as a therapist.

  • Masters Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience

I am currently studying for my Masters. My goal is to broaden my knowledge and understanding by focusing on a wide variety of disorders. By doing this, I will be able to further develop my understanding and my ability to recognise mental disorders so that I can more accurately diagnose my clients. I have become fascinated by research designed for and studies based on human subjects. This may well prove a catalyst for further education in the future!
