What to Expect

On your first session, which might last one hour or so, I will ask you why you have chosen to start therapy. Questions will be asked about your concerns, as well as some background history. After expressing your struggles, you and I will decide whether I am suitable as your therapist. If I am not, I will recommend another counsellor or point you in the direction of alternative support. If we agree upon me becoming your counsellor, then we will go through the requisite paperwork. During counselling, we will set goals and agree on ways to work towards those goals which may include me assigning you personal homework.
